I’ve been immersed in the world of BG5 for the past 4 and half years and pretty much thinking about it everyday of that time.
BG5 feels like a real calling for me because I see it as a blending of the spiritual and material worlds. I used to consider myself a ‘spiritual’ person who followed and immersed myself in different paths in order to make sense of the world and essentially know myself.But being a 34-20 Manifesting Generator I also have a deep yearning to find and do work that I love. Finding satisfying work is what makes my body hum! Doing work that I don’t like is torture!So when BG5 came into my life I was instantly hooked – it was a way to help me understand where my spiritual gifts fit in the material world.It helped me to understand why I can lead groups but not work in them for any length of time. It also helped me understand my yearning to have my own business and how partnering with others can be healthy for me.
The World Needs Practical Career Advice
I started coaching clients this past year and what an eye-opening experience it’s been. When I first began working with clients I worried that I didn’t know enough to make a difference in their lives. I’m happy to say that I was wrong on that matter.
The foundation of Human Design plus the skills-based focus of BG5 Consulting gives clients a level of personal awareness that’s not available anywhere else in the world.
Ra used to say that the simple is the most profound. I found that teaching someone about the basics of their career design and giving them simple tools to put them into practice yields results. The focus is always on how to help someone become more successful in his or her work.
What we can do as BG5 Consultants
When I began to dive into this branch of Human Design I was amazed at how practical it was and how many different ways we can work in the world.
In my own business the amount of readings I did doubled as I began to offer career readings as part of my work. That was the first significant learning that helped me see that there are many potential clients both within and outside the Human Design community. Knowing BG5 instantly expands your potential client base!
As a BG5 teacher I teach my students to boil down Human Design to its pure essence so we can work with even the most die-hard business executive and talk to them ‘jargon-free’.
Once a potential client gets over the idea that they have to provide their birth data we leave the land of “woo-woo” behind (Is this some form of Astrology??) and get extremely practical. They never wonder if this is too “out there” after the first session!
My Newest Experiment
I have a client who’s applying for a new job that she’s both excited and nervous about. I did a career reading for her a while ago and wanted to build on what we talked about in our initial session to help her land the job.
What we are working on now is how to match her skills with the job position itself, which is surprisingly easy. My goal is to help her feel more confident when she walks into the interview.
One of the best outcomes of my work with BG5 consulting is helping clients be more aware of who they are, the skills that they bring to the table and the shadows that hold them back. In turn they begin to develop a sense of Presence, that intangible quality that makes them stand out from the pack.
New Class
