Gate 44, The Gate of Alertness
October 30 - November 4
Could the difference between a careless connection and a relationship of great depth lie in the motives of one’s heart? How sincere are you? And, how present are you?
Is the success of your connection with others based on the absence of mental preconditions? This transit’s energy brings an instinctive memory that is part of our survival intelligence as a species. Trusting your intuition may hold the key for you.
Do you judge someone subjectively – based on conditioning and trauma buried deep inside, or will you judge someone objectively based on what is right in front of you?
Your intuitive knowing can reveal much if you listen to its whisper.
This gate closes out the Quarter of Duality which is about bonding with others in relationship. Coming to Meet is the “Way” of this quarter – you come to meet others who you can support and who can support you – or not.
This energy, or awareness, is grounded in the sense of smell. This can be taken literally AND figuratively. For example, does she have a ‘nose’ for business, do you ‘smell’ a rat or this person or situation doesn’t smell right to me?
I have this gate in my natal design (Saturn) and I’m so sensitive to smells. If something doesn’t smell right to me, I take that as a signpost that it’s not safe or healthy for me. I’ve read that the deepest memories and recollections are connected to smells.
The biological correlation for this center are your lymphatic and immune systems. This instinctual awareness is designed to keep you safe and free from harm. The immune cells circulate throughout your body … ever vigilant and tasked with neutralizing anything that may cause you harm.
And, deep inside your cellular memory, the memories of the past are stored. This awareness senses what relationships are safe, or not. Who will be supportive or not? Are you listening?
This has nothing to do with what you think and everything to do with what you sense.
One of my dearest friends, Kathy, says that she’ll dive headfirst into getting to know someone who triggers her. It gives her an opportunity to examine what, about herself, she sees in the other that disturbs her. It’s one of the signposts she uses to be aware of what she needs to heal within herself.
When you look at things you want to judge harshly, they have the potential to teach you something about what you may need to work on in yourself. When this happens, perhaps you can reveal something that can be transformed and healed within yourself as you ‘Come to Meet’?
THE POWER OF INTUITIVE UNDERSTANDING WILL PROTECT YOU FROM HARM UNTIL THE END OF YOUR DAYS. — Lao Tzu
