Gate 32, The Gate of Continuity
October 14 - October 19
SOMETIMES IN THE WINDS OF CHANGE WE FIND OUR TRUE DIRECTION
The only thing which endures is change … it’s the instinct to adapt moment-by-moment without losing your flow and who you are in the process.
This week’s energy brings potential awareness of what can be transformed through change. And, what changes will endure. The grounding force in the Gate of Growth adds a cyclical nature to this transit with an imperative to finish what you begin.
And, in the continuity of life everything changes. As your genes search for diversity to keep the human species viable you endure and maintain continuity through change.
It can take a deep commitment and endurance to bend with the winds of change and stay connected to who you are and who you chose to be in relationship with.
This gate may bring an awareness of the value of things and mostly importantly the value of the people in your life.
When you don’t accept that things are constantly evolving you may grow fearful. Fearful that your relationship won’t survive, fearful that you may lose your job or something that you don’t want to let go of. When you’re stuck in fear, it can be difficult to move forward.
I have a deep connection to this gate; it’s activated 3 times in my natal design. And, oh boy, do I understand how embracing change is a skill that has served me well. It seems my entire life has been about accepting change and embracing the journey that the unexpected turn of events takes me on.
Will you have a commitment to endure the countless changes life will bring? Can you adapt while maintaining a strong sense of purpose?
Nature shows us how trees growing near each other bend and adapt to enhance each other’s survival. Similarly, lasting relationships strike a beautiful balance between involvement with the outside world and nourishment in the home.
You can be actively changing while staying strongly connected to those you hold dear and keeping true to yourself.
Commitment needs no words and is reflected in endurance. In the same way, relationships that operate on commitment weather any conditions. Relationships sought just for benefit or pleasure may break apart the moment difficulties set in.
Yet in nature, difficulty or limitations are its treasure trove for bringing something to a higher level. This can enhance relationships which explore difficulty as a means of digging deeper into intimacy and understanding.
Overcoming challenges that change may bring requires this continuity and commitment.
So, this may be an opportunity to look within and examine the foundation of your relationships. You can be committed to either failure or success and the result will always reveal which one it is.
Commitment gives durability to the changes. Nature is composed of phenomena that arise from the unseen or hidden movement of something deeper.
Will you trust the unseen and the unproven? Like the wind that blows when hot and cold pressure systems collide – you can’t see the greater force, but you can observe its effects on what unfolds.
Trusting your inner wisdom gives durability to that which is to come.
Life is powerful and good; it is profoundly committed to your success, but you must remain committed to meeting events ‘half-way’ with sincerity and openness.
Strengthen your trust in what remains unseen and unproven.
Love Yourself,
Ruth Brennan
